  Broadcast Media Interview Training
There are many times when corporations, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups and other organizations are asked by local or national broadcast media outlets to provide an individual for an interview segment. While taking part in a broadcast media interview may initially look “easy”, the reality is that an interview is harder than it looks. In fact, the ability to appear natural, poised and well-informed during a broadcast media interview can be quite difficult. Simple issues such as the ability to eliminate distracting mannerisms or the confidence to address difficult issues during an interview can throw even the most seasoned communicators for a loop. Even some of the most polished and confident individuals can find themselves stammering when the red light of the camera is recording a crucial interview. Our Broadcast Media Interview Training workshop offers a one-day comprehensive training introduction into the most important tools and concepts to use when taking part in a broadcast media interview.

The ability to communicate clearly and effectively while maintaining a positive image and delivering a consistent message during an interview is at the core of our Broadcast Media Training workshop. This valuable interview-based training class focuses on every facet of communication, particularly as they relate to your ability to take part in a successful media interview. This highly interactive, one-day training workshop provides participants with a self-analysis of personal communication skills that enables professionals to understand their personal strengths and weaknesses and how they can come across professionally during a broadcast media interview. Communication skills such as the ability to overcome the fear associated with speaking before a camera and how to hide nervousness and eliminate distracting mannerisms are covered. Training participants will practice by taking part in various interviews that could take place with a broadcast media outlet. Each training simulation is videotaped and followed by training instructor coaching and feedback. This format allows participants to review and evaluate progress during the training class and alter any behaviors that might affect their message during a media interview. Additional training modules, individual exercises, question and answer sessions and other interview training activities are also covered.
